Terms of Service
Last updated: October 20, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and WhoPlays US, Inc. ("ClearTrace", "we") for the use of ClearTrace, the app at app.cleartrace.dev, its API, MCP server and CLI. By creating a workspace, joining one, or using the service, you accept them. If you accept for a company, you confirm you can bind it.
1. The service
ClearTrace keeps a record of the work your AI agents and your team deliver: changes, tickets, findings, test runs, evidence, releases and your architecture as declared. Agents write to it through the project kit, CLI, API and MCP; the app shows the record.
ClearTrace is in beta. Features can change, be added or be removed. Plan limits are shown in your workspace but are not enforced during the beta. There is no service-level commitment during the beta.
2. Accounts, workspaces and keys
Give accurate account information and keep your sign-in, API keys and intake keys secret. You are responsible for what happens in your workspace under your users and keys, including actions taken by the AI agents and tools you connect.
Workspace owners and admins decide who joins, which keys exist and what each key can reach. Tell us right away if you think a key or account was compromised.
3. Your data
You keep all rights to the data you and your agents send to ClearTrace. You give us permission to store, process and display it only to provide and secure the service for you.
You choose per solution whether ClearTrace stores reviewed diffs or only links (file names, line ranges and commits). If you connect GitHub, ClearTrace reads diffs from your repositories read-only when you open them and does not store them. We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or use it to train AI models.
You confirm you have the right to send the data you send, including anything your apps send to your intake links.
4. Acceptable use
Do not use ClearTrace to break the law; to send malware; to attack, probe or overload the service; to get around its security or limits; to access other customers' data; or to send personal data you have no right to share. We may suspend access that puts the service or other customers at risk.
5. Third-party services
ClearTrace works with services you choose, such as GitHub, Codex, Claude and other AI tools. Their own terms apply to your use of them. ClearTrace's GitHub connection is read-only and limited to the repositories you select.
6. Plans, trials and payment
Paid plans are billed in US dollars through Stripe, monthly or yearly, and renew automatically until cancelled. A card is required to start a trial; nothing is charged until the trial ends. Founding beta terms, while places last, are described on cleartrace.dev/beta and apply for as long as the subscription stays active.
You can change plan or cancel any time from your workspace. Upgrades apply right away with a prorated charge; downgrades and cancellations take effect at the end of the current period. Amounts already paid are not refunded for partial periods, except where the law requires it. Prices exclude taxes where taxes apply.
We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice; a change applies from your next renewal. Enterprise agreements may have their own order form, which prevails where it differs.
7. Feedback
If you send us ideas or feedback (for example through Send feedback in the app), we may use them to improve ClearTrace without any obligation to you.
8. Ending the agreement
You can stop using ClearTrace and cancel at any time. We may suspend or end access for a serious breach of these terms or for unpaid amounts, after notice when reasonable.
After a workspace closes, you can ask for an export of its data for 30 days. Then we delete it, except where the law requires us to keep something; backups expire within 35 days.
9. Disclaimers and liability
ClearTrace is provided as is and as available, especially during the beta. It records what your agents report and what it can read; it does not guarantee that code, tests or deployments are correct.
To the extent the law allows, neither party is liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages or lost profits, and our total liability is limited to the amounts you paid ClearTrace in the 12 months before the claim.
10. Changes, law and contact
We may update these terms. For important changes we will tell workspace owners by email or in the app at least 30 days before they apply; continuing to use ClearTrace after that means you accept them.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
